  • I aim to help my clients recognize their unfulfilled emotional needs, and to foster a deeper sense of self-compassion in a nonjudgmental and collaborative environment. Through therapy, my clients can develop a better understanding of their past, redefine their boundaries with others and strengthen the sense of fulfillment in their day to day life.

  • As a first-generation American, I bring a unique perspective to multicultural identities and the challenges of integrating different worlds. I specialize in supporting my clients through life transitions, anxieties, depression, and trauma.

Early in my career I gained experience working with populations in psychiatric inpatient programs, outpatient programs and school counseling centers, allowing me to gain insight into the needs of individuals across diverse backgrounds. Later, my work providing therapy for a Personalized Recovery Oriented Service program deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by those integrating back into society.

  • I believe therapy transcends merely processing pain or hardships; it involves recognizing your reflection in your experiences, drawing strength from your narrative, and embracing your authentic self. My approach is holistic and integrative, thoughtfully tailored to each individual's unique journey incorporating various therapeutic modalities to cultivate self-awareness and facilitate healing.

My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their inner worlds, develop resilience, and achieve a deeper understanding of themselves. Through our collaborative work, I aim to offer an environment filled with understanding, empathy, honesty, and compassion that empowers clients to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and authenticity, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling, meaningful, and balanced life.

  • As a therapist embodying diverse identities, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges of embracing and striving for a life of authenticity. This perspective has given me a deep appreciation of how our many identities intersect and influence our lived experiences.

Earlier in my career, I began to recognize that the barriers between culture, society, and our psychic experience are fluid and interconnected. Working in various non-profit settings, providing direct supportive care to adults, children, and families of marginalized and disenfranchised communities, I have witnessed firsthand the profound creativity individuals exhibit in adapting to difficult or extreme circumstances.

These experiences have come to inform my approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of honoring one’s unique narrative and fostering their sense of agency and autonomy.

  • My approach is warm, empathetic, engaging, and direct, which I find helps individuals feel at ease, supported, and understood. I prioritize building a trusting therapeutic relationship and fostering a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can openly discuss and explore your personal struggles. I believe that genuine growth and change stem from a strong therapeutic partnership. Together, we will delve into your difficulties and identify new opportunities for progress in your life.

  • With a multicultural background, I bring an open-minded and inclusive approach to therapy. I place great value in my clients' cultural backgrounds, psychological needs, and the impact of their individual experiences.

Having discovered a passion for psychology and unconscious processes in college, I’m constantly pursuing learning opportunities to further deepen my knowledge and skills.

In my early career, I worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital where I developed a deep appreciation and awareness for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Subsequent work at low-income community programs reinforced a sensitivity to the systemic challenges faced by marginalized groups. Later experiences at a substance abuse treatment program offered valuable insights into the underlying traumas and unique needs of individuals grappling with addiction.

Drawing from this diverse background, I’ve integrated these experiences into my private practice; tailoring my approach to best serve the individual needs of my clients.

Group Therapy
Adult Children of Alcoholics

Growing up in a home with a parent battling alcoholism can perpetuate a sense of unpredictability, feeling overshadowed by their addiction, and yearning for a more stereotypical childhood. This often results in children shouldering shame and responsibility, feeling isolated and downplaying their needs in order to cope. Suppressed emotions like sadness, fear, and anger may resurface in adulthood, interfering in relationships with others.

As an adult, your safety is no longer dependent on the same parent. This group aims to support you in learning to identify and let more emotionally available people into your life. In group therapy you can explore ways to establish better boundaries to find and protect a sense of inner peace.

  • Schedule: Tuesdays 7:30 P.M. - 9 P.M.
