Angely M Paulino
MA, MHC-LP
I provide a compassionate, holistic space to help you embrace your authentic self, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
Approach
I believe therapy transcends merely processing pain or hardships; it involves recognizing your reflection in your experiences, drawing strength from your narrative, and embracing your authentic self. My approach is holistic and integrative, thoughtfully tailored to each individual's unique journey incorporating various therapeutic modalities to cultivate self-awareness and facilitate healing.
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their inner worlds, develop resilience, and achieve a deeper understanding of themselves. Through our collaborative work, I aim to offer an environment filled with understanding, empathy, honesty, and compassion that empowers clients to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and authenticity, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling, meaningful, and balanced life.
Background
As a therapist embodying diverse identities, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges of embracing and striving for a life of authenticity. This perspective has given me a deep appreciation of how our many identities intersect and influence our lived experiences.
Earlier in my career, I began to recognize that the barriers between culture, society, and our psychic experience are fluid and interconnected. Working in various non-profit settings, providing direct supportive care to adults, children, and families of marginalized and disenfranchised communities, I have witnessed firsthand the profound creativity individuals exhibit in adapting to difficult or extreme circumstances.
These experiences have come to inform my approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of honoring one’s unique narrative and fostering their sense of agency and autonomy.
